The Hackney Area Tabletop Enthusiasts (HATE Club) brings you high end geeky gaming action in the heart of East London. Now every Wednesday at our new venue, the Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club!
Over 18’s only.
£5 for Wargamers (40k, Warhammer, hordes, X-Wing etc)
£2 for everyone else (roleplayers, board gamers, h/wags, hangers on etc)
At: BETHNAL GREEN WORKING MENS CLUB
42-44 POLLARD ROW LONDON E2 6NB (Downstairs)
The venue serves drinks of all sorts, but no food so you are welcome to bring your own.
The HATE Club is a games club focussing on miniatures wargaming, with a strong board and roleplaying game presence. In a friendly, funtimes atmosphere.
We’ve got 15+ themed tables with some lovely terrain for Warhammer/Warhammer 40,000 or other Wargames.
We want everyone to play games together and have fun. So if you come down and haven’t managed to arrange a game in advance, then we will make sure you get a game! (Be warned this may well be with Toby or Dan. You will need ear plugs. You have been warned)
Now we’re going regular we hope that everyone will pitch in to get out terrain, set things up etc. If anyone can arrive before/at 6 and get things out that would be great.
You can arrange games through this group
We also love board games and they’re a great gateway drug for your loved ones too 😉
By board games we mean stuff like:
Lords of Waterdeep
Settlers of Catan
Chaos in the Old World
and many more…
We’ve a regular 5e Dungeons & Dragons group starting up now that we’ve got more room and we’re very much hoping other RPG games will be making an appearance.
Bring your favourite game down for others to play with you? I will be!
HOW TO GET THERE?
Logistically, the venue is a five minute walk from Bethnal Green tube, which is on the Central line. Walk straight down Bethnal Green Road and turn right down Pollards row (just after Tescos)
I would Advise NOT using your GPS to find the place on foot. It’ll send you upon a merry jaunt around the back streets of East London.
Short bus ride from Liverpool Street and Old Street.
There is parking on local streets.
Any extra details on this, just ask.
